Robert Purser

My favorite place to be, outside of with my family of course, is at the bee yard. Bees are definitely my passion and I find the time I spend with them relaxing and enjoyable. Every day I learn something new. I have spent the majority of my working life as a software developer. Previous to that I served in the Coast Guard out of Kodiak Alaska and San Francisco California. I currently call Ouray Colorado home but travel back and forth from Ouray to Oklahoma City on a regular basis.

Amber Purser

Responsible adult (Accounting)

Amber has spent most of her working life as a dental hygienist. She has decided to join me in me in creating a bee empire. Ok well not a bee empire I guess. But she has decided to help me keep San Juan Bees balanced and moving forward. She manages the books so I can spend my time working the bees. She likes to get to the bee yard as often as possible. Her favorite part is not telling me when I have forgotten to zip up the bee suit.

Sierra Purser

Reluctant bee yard assistant

Our oldest daughter, Sierra is a nursing student at the University of Central Oklahoma with plans of continuing her education to become a Nurse Practioner. She is also a collegiate athlete and is a Varsity rower on her university's rowing team. She enjoys music and spending as much time as possible with her father. Well ok maybe not the last part. When she is not busy with the demands of school she can often be found assisting her father at the bee yards. It is our understanding that she thoroughly enjoys lugging syrup filled feeders from the truck to the hives and reminding her father that she has yet to be stung.
